Customisable promotional textiles and luggage: our marking techniques (part 2)
Le 18 avril 2014
The previous article discussed a set of classic techniques for advertising textile and luggage branding. However, these techniques do not necessarily meet the requirements of certain sports or professional textiles: leather, polyester, nylon, etc. There are different professional techniques that can be used to meet these needs.
Other compatible techniques
Pad printing
As its name suggests, this technique uses a flexible stamp to reproduce the desired pattern on the business object. The advantage is that the number of colors is unlimited for an excellent finish. The product must, however, be a hard item.
Embossing
This technique is perfect for leather luggage for example. Using a heated brass iron, the support is hollowed out and marked, creating a very aesthetic relief.
Hot stamping
A technique similar to embossing, hot stamping has the particularity of integrating a gold or silver metallic vein inside the hollow. This creates an elegant and decorative effect, ideal for a leather diary, luggage or leather jacket.
Sublimation
This technique is aimed at marking polyester textiles such as sports or professional clothing. The pattern is reproduced on transfer paper and applied via a heat press so that the ink penetrates the mesh of the textile.
Flocking
Finally, the last technique is very common in the world of sport. Flocking consists in transferring pre-cut flex or flock via the press according to the desired finish with printing color by color. The flex provides a smooth and flexible finish with many colors available while the flock provides a thick velvet appearance.
Asap Marketing masters all of these techniques in order to be able to customize promotional textiles and luggage in a complete range of materials with numerous possible effects.
