In the Netherlands, 120 million kilos of coffee grounds are produced annually. The Coffee Based material is a mixture of used coffee grounds and a biopolymer. The biopolymer is based on recycled raw materials from potato, grain, root or seed flour. The used coffee grounds are a waste stream from the coffee industry or the office environment.
