Description
This reusable poncho is made from corn production waste: 4% PLA, 60% PBAT and 36% corn starch. The starch that remains as a by-product is called PLA. To make a kind of plastic (PLA) from corn, the corn kernels are mixed with sulfur dioxide in hot water, so that all the components in the mixture are transformed back into starch, protein and fiber. The fibers are transformed into a kind of plastic, which makes it possible to produce a poncho. This poncho is much more durable in production than plastic ponchos. What's more, this material is also 100% biodegradable and 100% compostable. So it really does disappear if accidentally thrown into nature. The ponchos come in a transparent cream color. Packaged in a cover also made from the same material as the poncho itself, with a design card featuring the sustainable story. Whether you're traveling, hiking or doing any other outdoor activity, consider giving this poncho as a useful, lightweight and space-saving gift. At a sporting event, for example, complete your marathon pack for all participants in each race to respect the environment.
