Every tonne of delicious fruit sent around the world means that around 270 banana trees will no longer bear fruit and will wither away. However, these stalks are full of precious fibres, which have been used to make the cover of our notebook. Agricultural waste has been transformed into a valuable resource, providing farmers with an additional source of income over and above the sale of fruit. Banana stems are naturally moist, making the paper-making process much more water-efficient than traditional paper. This notebook has a cover made from 70% banana fibre and 30% cotton waste. The lined pages are made of wheat straw. A5 format, glued square back, hot stamping, embossing or UV printing.
