How to choose a customised t-shirt?
You have had an overview of all the t-shirts that we offer for customization, but how do you choose among all these models? Asap Marketing invites you to discover how to choose your t-shirt.
Step 1: Choice of material
We offer two types of materials for t-shirts: cotton and polycotton. One or the other will be interesting for the creation of your customised t-shirt, everything will depend on your needs.
Cotton is a natural plant material widely used for making t-shirts. With great absorbency, it keeps the skin dry by absorbing sweat. Its soft-touch texture provides pleasant comfort, making it a popular choice for everyday clothing. In addition, cotton is resistant to washing at high temperatures, ensuring increased durability of the t-shirt while preserving its quality. In summary, cotton is a versatile, comfortable and practical material for clothing, offering a combination of softness, absorbency and strength.
We offer two types of cotton in this material with a better ecological footprint. Recycled cotton made from cotton fibers recovered from clothing or pre-existing textile waste. Organic cotton which is grown using environmentally friendly agricultural practices and without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.
Polycotton, a blend of polyester and cotton, is commonly used in t-shirts to combine the natural softness of cotton with the durability and wrinkle resistance of polyester. This blend offers excellent ease of care, drying quickly and requiring less ironing, whilst maintaining a neat and comfortable appearance.
Step 2: Choose the weight of the material
The weight of a t-shirt, expressed in grams per square meter (g/m²), is an important factor to consider depending on the intended use. Here are some general tips:
Light weight (100-130 g/m²):
Ideal for summer t-shirts and sportswear.
Offers a lightweight, breathable feel.
Suitable for casual and warm weather wear.
Average weight (140-180 g/m²):
Versatile, suitable for daily use.
Offers a balance between lightness and durability.
Suitable for a variety of activities and seasons.
Heavy weight (190 g/m² and more):
Recommended for winter t-shirts and workwear.
More resistant and suitable for intensive use.
Suitable for cooler weather conditions.
Very heavy weight (220 g/m² and more):
Suitable for specific uses such as heavy-duty work clothing.
Provides maximum durability.
Perhaps less suitable for warm climates due to its weight.
In summary, choose a lighter weight for warm climates and sporting activities, while a medium weight is suitable for everyday use. For cooler conditions or increased durability requirements, opt for a heavier weight. Also consider the desired comfort and style based on the intended use.
